Hastings & Bexhill U14s recorded a comfortable victory over Crowborough at a windswept William Parker Sports College with blasts of wind nearly klnocking the crowd off their feet.
H&B had never previously enjoyed the priviledge of taking to the field with a full team and four subtitutes.
H&B prop Harrison Turner volunteered to play for the visitors as they only had 14 men, and new arrivals to the team, Dan Bunn, Tristan Mayhew and Zack Nolan Morgan all made their debuts.
H&B took the lead after five minutes with a try from second row Harrison Cox, who bulldozed over in the corner. Soon after no. 8 Tommy Craig was on the scoresheet with a powerful charge.
Further tries from blindside flanker Jake Begg, hooker Archie Meikle and player of the match second row Ben Curtis, with his first for H&B, made the half time score 25-0.
With the wind in H&B's favour during the second half, Craig added two tries and just before full time centre Scott Sherwood crossed following a snaking run. Ollie Fisher converted all three.
