Hastings Colts entertained Bognor in the first round proper of the Sussex under 18's cup on Sunday.
With their first home match since November last year and with good weather forecast the Colts were ready and waiting for the visit of division A side Bognor.
From the start Hastings showed their intent with the forwards dominating the Bognor pack and setting up camp in the Bognor half. The pressure told, after having two tries disallowed as being "held up over the line", from a forward drive Jacob McDonagh drove over for the first score.
The Hastings backs feeding off good ball, showed that the Colts are not just about forwards, with Tom White unlucky to have a try disallowed after a chip through by Tom Waring.
Late in the first half a clearance kick was gathered by James Morris who ran the ball back drawing the Bognor defence, prior to passing to captain Ben lee who beat the remaining two defenders to score.
The second half continued as the first with the only disappointment being the lack of any additional points to reflect Hastings performance.
