Crunch clash for H&B
Hastings & Bexhill Rugby Club is in optimistic mood ahead of a key fixture in its survival battle. H&B go into the home match against Horsham tomorrow (Saturday) targeting a victory which would inch them closer to safety in London Three South East.
Chairman David Hirst said: "We've got a strong side lined-up and we're looking to get a win on Saturday."
H&B, turned over 54-0 at leaders Heathfield & Waldron last weekend, are fourth-from-bottom with five points from 14 games - just one above each of the three teams beneath them.
Sixth-placd Horsham were held to a 17-17 draw in the reverse fixture in early November.
H&B are sweating on the fitness of Tom Brampton, who has a slight twinge to his knee, but will still be without thumb injury victim Richard Brooks. Kick-off at William Parker Sports College is 2.30pm.
